History and etymology of the word sophic:

***WHERE WE STAND STATEMENT***
We stand against inequity and injustice of any kind. As we work together, in community, to address racial inequity and beyond, we encourage community members to join us in the following ways:
1) Vote for people, policies, and practices that support equity.
2) Raise children who do not believe they are superior or inferior to others.
3) Avoid suffering from voice (and action) bystander effect.
4) Evaluate if you are more attracted to Mercy (ephemeral acts of
kindness) rather than Justice (changing the system that produces
the unjust conditions).
5) Always ask, "What are the identity implications?" when making decisions.
6) Donate to efforts that, ongoingly, support and produce race equity and
beyond in your community.
We stand with all families and individuals who have been affected, directly or indirectly by inequity and injustice of any kind, especially those who have lost their lives.
As the Coronavirus brings about days of unprecedented change and uncertainty, we would like to provide a way for you to stay engaged in an effort to meet your organizational needs. Please be aware that we offer, live, interactive, virtual consultation sessions, all you need is a smart device (laptop, tablet, smart phone, etc.) with the Zoom app downloaded.
We hope that this offering supports your organizational needs as we move forward as an equity-centered community.
Please continue to care for our community and for yourself.
